I’m a filmmaker and photographer. I worked for years in film development and casting, so I know how vital a good headshot is for an actor.
And I know exactly what casting agents, directors and producers want from a headshot. They want simplicity, clarity and focus. They want to see exactly what you look like, and they want to see a hint of your personality shining through.
I can often be available in evenings or weekends to fit around your busy schedule. A headshot photoshoot will usually take between 2-3 hours. First we’ll have a cup of tea or coffee and have a chat so I can get to know you, what kind of roles you want to play, and what you’re hoping to project in your headshot; then we can either do an indoors studio shoot, or an outdoors shoot.
Headshot fashion is constantly changing; a few years ago theatre preferred studio headshots, and film preferred outdoor headshots. But now for your main headshot, agents for both are recommending a simple studio shot.
But it’s entirely subjective, and we can do whichever you feel happier with.
My studio is in Finsbury Park, N4. If you’d like an outdoor shoot, we could meet near Finsbury Park, or at the National Theatre, which has great coffee and some great spaces with lovely light and subtle backgrounds.
My charges are:
Studio or outdoor shoot: £200
Rose Bruford student discount: £175
After the shoot, I will put a contact sheet of all your photos online, and ask you to choose up to 5 which I will clean up in photoshop. I will then send you a link to download them in high-resolution.
Any further photos you wish to be processed and delivered to you will cost £20 each.
